Harvest Monday - July 8, 2013

I got cuces!
Last year I have had a lot of seedlings, but almost no cucumbers, this year I tried different type of plants and places - greenhouse, pots, open raised beds.
And now I can eat them -

Growing cucumbers indoors

My experiment of growing cuces indoors.
I started them 1/1, 4 Straight 8 and 4 homemade pickle.

This is my beauty 6 weeks later!
I transplanted them today in bigger pots and added bone meal for roots.
I guess I will be starting my regular cuces on Apr.1

those white spots!

Cuces in a more shady garden do not have those problems.
I guess it is powdery mildew. So today, may be late, I began an experiment - I mixed 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp dish liquid, 1 tbsp fish emulsion in a water and sprayed the leaves on top and bottom.
